I have always been a faithful viewer of the Duggar family and their show on television. I, just as a viewer was completely shocked when the news broke about Josh Duggar.
I was even selfish in wanting the Duggars to continue to be on tv.
Looking back now, and after watching the first part of the Jill and Jessa: Counting On special, it really puts into perspective that we are not in control of our lives and how others actions can affect us.
I know that I for one am no where near perfect, and I would not want my dirty laundry aired where the whole world could see and voice their opinion.
I truly feel for their family and what they are going through.
This world we live in does not help us to live faith-filled and moral lives. It definitely puts more pressure on each one of us to act with respect and dignity towards everyone.
Together, we must work to overcome the corruption of society and build each other up instead of tearing each other down. We must pray for one another because we are all human. Each one of us makes mistakes. It is how we choose to perceive these mistakes and how me allow them to affect us that show who we truly are as people.
It is in hard times that we must turn to God and really focus on our values and what is important in life.
Your perspective of someone can change in an instant because of his or her actions. It is how you respond to it that shows YOUR true colors.
